Thanh Bui – Vietnamese Australian singer

Born in Australia on Jan 12, 1983, Thanh Bui is a singer, songwriter and musician. He started his career in 2004 by joining the boy band North.The band had top ten singles in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and India. However, North disbanded in 2006. After that, he has continued his own path by writing songs. His songs received positive responses from many people from different countries such as Australia, Germany, Japan. In 2008, he decided to come back to stage and start his solo career. He shot to fame with a top 8 spot in the 2008 Australian Idol contest. He has achieved iconic status with several of his own compositions becoming hits, including Lang tham mot tinh yeu (I’m forbidden) and Tinh ve noi dau (Where do we go.). Thanh Bui is the director and vocal coach at International Artist Academy, with North band member Alfred Tuohey formed Yin Yang Productions and is a successful songwriter, having written songs including Killer Queen for Jimi Blue (gold in Germany) and Dream Alive for Arashi (number 1 in Japan). Recently, he has officially launched a music school called Soul Academy in Ho Chi Minh City.
